REFUND POLICY
Your satisfaction is our #1 priority.
Every ElvaraWorld kit is quality-checked before it leaves our workshop. If anything is not right with your order, we make it right — quickly, without arguing about it. This page covers two distinct protections:
1. Defect / Damage / Missing Parts / LED Malfunction - always covered, free of charge.
2. 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee (Unopened Kits) - change-of-mind returns for kits that have not been opened.
1. DEFECT, DAMAGE, MISSING PARTS, OR LED MALFUNCTION
If you experience any of the following issues with your DIY LED book nook kit, we will happily send you a replacement free of charge:
- Your order does not arrive at your shipping address within 30 business days of dispatch (United States) or 45 business days of dispatch (International).
- You receive the wrong kit (different design from the one ordered).
- You receive a damaged kit (broken wooden parts, cracked miniatures, torn instruction booklet).
- Missing parts: critical pieces are missing from the kit and the kit cannot be completed.
- LED malfunction: the included LED light system does not work out of the box, despite following the instructions.
Please Note: If you would rather receive a full refund instead of a replacement for a wrong, damaged, or defective item, we have got you covered. There is no need to return the incorrect or damaged kit in this case, saving you the hassle and expense of return shipping.
PARTIAL REPLACEMENT FOR MISSING PARTS
If only a small number of parts are missing from your kit, contact us with photos and we will ship replacement parts to you free of charge — you do not need to wait for a full new kit.
2. 30-DAY MONEY-BACK GUARANTEE (UNOPENED KITS)
Not your style after it arrives? We accept change-of-mind returns on unopened, unassembled kits within 30 days of delivery.
How to request a return:
1. Email cs@elvaraworld.com within 30 days of delivery to request a Return Authorization (RA) number.
2. Ship the unopened kit (in its original retail packaging) back to the return address provided in your RA email. Return shipping is the customer's responsibility.
3. Once we receive the kit in resellable condition, we refund the kit price minus a $5 restocking fee to your original payment method.
Not eligible for change-of-mind refund:
- Kits that have been opened, partially assembled, or fully assembled. (Defective kits in any state are always covered — see Section 1.)
- Requests made more than 30 days after delivery.
- Kits returned without an RA number, or returned in non-resellable condition.
3. REFUND PROCESSING
If your claim is approved (either defect coverage in Section 1 or change-of-mind refund in Section 2), we credit your refund to the original payment method within 7 business days of approval. Your bank may take an additional 3–10 business days to display the refund on your statement.
CASES WE DO NOT REFUND
To protect both our customers and our workshop, we do not process a refund in the following situations:
- Your order did not arrive due to factors within your control (i.e. providing the wrong shipping address, not being at home to receive the delivery, not picking up the package as requested).
- Your order did not arrive due to exceptional circumstances outside the control of ElvaraWorld (i.e. not being cleared by your country's customs, being delayed by a natural disaster, showing "delivered" in the tracking system, having been shipped to your mailbox but reported lost).
- Damage caused by the customer during assembly (forcing parts, cutting wires, dropping the assembled nook).
- Buyer's remorse after assembly has begun: once the kit has been opened and assembly has started, refunds are only available for genuine quality or missing-part issues, not for changes of mind.
- Minor handcraft variations: small differences in wood grain, paint, or print between your kit and the product photos are normal and are not considered defects.
Refunds and replacements are not available after 60 business days from the delivery date.
REPLACEMENTS
We obsess over quality, so if you receive the wrong kit, a damaged kit, or a kit with missing pieces or a faulty LED, no sweat. Just reach out and we will make it right with a hassle-free replacement.
Please note: We can only accept replacement requests when the issue is on our end (manufacturing defect, missing parts, wrong item, damage in transit, faulty LED). Please do not return your purchase unless we have authorized it. Reach out first and we will guide you through the process.
REQUIRED EVIDENCE
Your claim must be accompanied by clear evidence as below:
- Photos of any damaged, broken, or defective parts of the kit received.
- Photos showing missing parts (a clear photo of all received parts laid out, alongside the parts list from the instruction booklet).
- A short video showing the LED malfunction (if claiming LED issues), with the kit connected to power.
- Photos of the wrong kit received (in case of incorrect design).
- A photo of the original shipping label and outer packaging.
