Laser-cut scenes you build yourself — from one-evening starter kits to the 1,116-piece Ginzan Onsen with motorized windows. Warm LED light in every box, free replacement for any missing piece.
Yes. Every kit is laser-cut, pre-cut and labeled, with a photo-guided, step-by-step manual — and every kit is graded Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced. For a first build, pick a Beginner kit: Taiwan Old Street, Japan’s Corner or the Old Bookstore (125–160 pieces, about one evening). Save Ginzan Onsen for when you’re ready for a longer project.
How long does a build take?
Starter kits (Taiwan Old Street, Japan’s Corner, Old Bookstore) take one cozy evening. Sawara Town runs about 6 hours, Heartbrook Village and Ginzan Onsen about 8, and the 1940s Train Cabin about 10 unhurried hours.
Do the kits include lights?
Yes — every kit includes warm LED lighting, pre-wired and color-coded. No soldering, no electrical experience needed. Ginzan Onsen adds motorized windows and Heartbrook Village a turning water wheel. Power is by AA batteries (not included) or USB, depending on the kit — it’s listed on each product page.
Do I need glue?
A few kits need basic wood glue for some steps — it’s noted on each product page. Glue isn’t included in the box.
What if a piece is missing or breaks?
Our Build Guarantee covers you: missing, damaged, or even pieces you broke yourself — we replace them free, with no time limit. Just email us a photo.
Can I return a kit?
Unopened kits can be returned within 30 days. Once you’ve started building, our Build Guarantee takes over — we’d rather help you finish than take it back.
Is a book nook kit a good gift?
It’s two gifts in one: a few quiet evenings of building, then a glowing scene that lives on their shelf. For first-time builders choose a starter kit; experienced hands love Ginzan Onsen.
